protection kit
on commercial airplanes of the type boeing B737 moisture-related problems such as leakages and condensation in the electrical and electronical compartment have been known for many years. in order to solve this problem and avoid damage in the electronics, many airlines tend to apply provisional solutions (e.g. covers made of synthetic materials) rather than certified solutions.
rücker aerospace design organization offers an easa certified protection kit for boeing B737-300 which is being produced and sold exclusively by luratec AG. certification for boeing B737-500 can be accomplished after checking the aircraft.
advantages of the protection kit:
• robust gfrp-composite trays with defined attachment points
• efficient and functioning drainage
• - three defined drain ports
• - inclination of trays to drain ports
• - transparent hoses route liquids to fuselage drain valves
• electronic and electric equipment inclusive battery and wiring effectively protected
• reduced cleaning effort in case of lavatory overfilling
• large amounts of liquids will be routed safely to the fuselage drain valves
• the overlapping areas of the individual gfrp-trays are sealed with silicone rubber profile
• precise adaption to the existing air ducts can be achieved
