rostock business at aircraft interiors expo 2007 in hamburg – luratec AG presents vip-demonstrator
[april 2007] again this year, rostock business – together with companies of the aviation industry settled in this region – represented itself at the trade fair aircraft interiors expo 2007 in hamburg. on the common stand of the hanse-aerospace e.v., the city of rostock, on the one hand, presented itself as an ideal location for companies of the aerospace industrial sector. on the other hand, resident businesses, like for instance eads-subsidiary company rostock system-technik rst, presented their current range of service and production. a highlight at the stand that got much attention was the vip-demonstrator of luratec AG aviation + aerospace technology with a totally new seat for small and medium-sized business or vip-liners. this new seat not only drew the attention of well-known european airlines, but also of representatives from the middle east and china. among the prominent and interested guests of the young rostock company were for instance senior vice president of airbus germany, bernd trötzer, as well as the state secretary of the schwerin department of trade and industry, dr. stefan rudolph.
"with this new comfort seat we extend our range of offers for cabin solutions," luratec AG ceo hans-jürgen henneke says. the stock corporation founded in summer 2005 in rostock is, among other things, specialist for wall and side wall coverings as well as air conditioning pipes made of fibre-reinforced composites. the company furthermore collaborates in the development of the so-called «black fuselage» made of carbon fibre for the new airbus A350. at the aircraft interiors expo 2007 the company was able to present its extensive range of development, design and production services not only to manufacturers and suppliers of big airliners and freighters, such as airbus and boeing, but now, for the first time, also to interior equippers of business and vip-liners. "even though luratec AG is a relatively young business, my employees and i can look back on many years of experience in the field of the aerospace industry and are owners of several patents. this is the basis for our previous success and the driving force for a further growth of the location rostock. our vip-demonstrator makes a clear and brief statement: competence in the field of gfrp and cfrp – innovation in design and implementation." henneke states.
besides rst and luratec AG, further rostock businesses and institutions such as the university of rostock or the company flamm precomp, which is based at the airport in rostock-laage, presented themselves at the exhibition stand.
